Here are answers to the most common questions we receive regarding our structure, our services, and our philosophy. If you don’t see your question here, please reach out to talk to a FaithWise Advisor.
We are a stewardship-driven investment and charitable advisory group that help faithful investors grow and give with confidence. Fuller FaithWise Advisors and FaithWise Charitable are the marketing brands of The Fuller Foundation. Investment advisory services are provided by Fuller Investment Management Company, dba FaithWise Investing, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Fuller Foundation and an independent investment advisor.
No. While we have deep roots in the Fuller community, we serve all faithful individuals, families, churches, and Christian organizations who seek values-aligned financial guidance.
This is the heartbeat of our business model.
Yes. We act in a fiduciary capacity, meaning we are legally and ethically bound to act in your best interest at all times. As fiduciaries, our advisors are committed to serving you with independent, objective guidance, free from commissions or asset-based incentives.
FaithWise Investing and FaithWise Charitable each serve a distinct purpose, but they are designed to work together as part of one cohesive strategy for your life, your family, and your impact.
Faith-Aligned Investing is the practice of screening your portfolio to ensure your capital does not support activities that conflict with Christian values. We can screen out industries involved in things like tobacco, gambling, or other activities. Beyond simply avoiding harm, we look for strategies that support human flourishing.
No. We offer a wide range of institutional-grade investment strategies, including standard index funds and broad market portfolios. However, for clients who desire it, we specialize in constructing portfolios that strictly adhere to biblically responsible investing (BRI) principles. The choice is always yours.
We believe high-quality advice should be accessible. No matter where you are on your financial journey, you deserve thoughtful, integrated guidance. We serve all kinds of professionals, families, and stewards who have accumulated resources and need a partner to help navigate the complexities of tax, growth, and transfer.
Yes. A DAF allows you to recommend grants to any IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) public charity in the United States. This includes your local church, missionary organizations, food banks, schools, and more.
A DAF separates the tax event from the giving decision. You can contribute money (or assets) now to get the immediate tax deduction, and then take your time deciding which ministries to support. It also simplifies your record-keeping—you get one tax receipt from us, rather than chasing down receipts from ten different charities.
Absolutely. In fact, this is one of our specialties. We can facilitate gifts of appreciated stock, real estate, business interests, and even complex assets. Giving these assets directly often provides significant tax advantages compared to selling the asset first and donating the cash. Non-cash gifts are subject to review as part of our gift acceptance policy.
A CRT is a “split-interest” vehicle. You transfer assets into the trust, and the trust pays you (or your beneficiaries) an income stream for a set period or for life. At the end of that term, the remaining assets go to the ministry. It is an excellent tool for converting appreciated assets into retirement income while securing a future legacy.
